Dushanbe is the capital and largest city of Tajikistan. As of January 2022, Dushanbe had a population of 1,201,800 and that population was largely Tajik. Until 1929, the city was known in Russian as Dyushambe, and from 1929 to 1961 as Stalinabad, after Joseph Stalin. Dushanbe is located in the Gissar Valley, bounded by the Gissar Range in the north and east and the Babatag, Aktau, Rangontau and Karatau mountains in the south, and has an elevation of 750–930 m. 杜尚別 是 中亞國家 塔吉克 的首都，位於北緯38.5度、東經68.8度，人口在2000年統計約有53萬6千人。又譯做 杜桑貝、杜夏貝、杜山比、杜尚别。杜尚別 在 塔吉克語 解作「星期一」，即指 杜尚別 著名的星期一市場。

杜尚別 曾是 Ibrahim Bek（一位曾與 布爾什維克 作戰過的 塔吉克籍領導人）的重要基地。1929年，杜尚別 成為了 塔吉克蘇維埃社會主義共和國 的首都，並以 約瑟夫·斯大林 的名字命名為 斯大林納巴德（意為「斯大林城」），直到1961年恢復原名。目前 杜尚別 有一所大學，也是 塔吉克科學學院 所在地。杜尚別 周邊有煤礦、鉛礦和砷礦等礦產。此外也是頂尖的棉製纖維生產中心、杜尚別 也產絲綢、衣服或皮革製品、食品和機器零件等。…..
